Greste family start fresh attempt to free son

Jailed Al Jazeera journalist’s family hire new lawyers to lodge appeal, and set up website to raise funds for campaign.

The family of jailed Al Jazeera journalist, Peter Greste, has launched a new campaign to secure his freedom.

Andrew Greste, Peter’s brother, said the family would hire new lawyers to launch an appeal, and have set up a website to take donations from supporters.

Peter Greste, and colleagues Baher Mohamed and Mohamed Fahmy, were jailed in Egypt after a court convicted them of spreading false news, a charge the Doha-based network has dismissed.

Al Jazeera’s Florence Looi reports.
