Indonesia election hopeful faces abuse claim

Activists say former general Prabowo Subianto took part in kidnappings and should be banned from presidential race.

Human rights activists in Indonesia have filed a lawsuit against the election commission for allowing a former general accused of rights abuses under the Suharto government to run for the presidency.

Prabowo Subianto is suspected of taking part in abductions 17 year ago but he has denied involvement.
