Sri Lanka cracks down on asylum seekers
Nearly 200 people detained as government says too many refugees are taking advantage of UN asylum system in the country.

Authorities in Sri Lanka have detained nearly 200 asylum seekers from nations including Pakistan and Afghanistan under the country’s immigration act.
Although the government does not accept refugees, it does allow the UN to process asylum cases in the country.
Now authorities say there are too many people taking advantage of the system.
