Indian law forbids same-sex surrogate parents
Rules say foreigners looking for surrogacy services must be heterosexual couples married for a minimum of two years.

Surrogacy is big business in India with thousands of foreigners travelling there every year to have babies. But the service is not open to everyone, and it is illegal for same-sex couples and single parents.
Rights groups say the law regulating the procedure is discriminatory and homophobic.
