Cannabis users in Georgia demand law change
Calls to loosen up the country’s tough drug laws grow louder as users demand police stop random tests.

Activists in Georgia say it is high time that the country change its tough drug laws. At the moment, those convicted of possessing cannabis face up to 14 years in prison, which is almost as long as a murder sentence. But as Al Jazeera’s Robin Forestier-Walker reports from Tbilisi, the government is resisting any push towards decriminalisation.
