Bankruptcy threatens New York opera
World-famous US opera is facing the music over its finances, leaving performers worried about spending cuts.

Opera fans in New York City may soon have to find something new to listen to. Managers of the famous New York Metropolian Opera claim it will go broke within two years unless drastic spending cuts are made. But opera performers are not so sure.
