Kashmir villagers want army firing range gone

Villagers have been killed and wounded by stray shells from Tosa Maidan and are demanding India shuts range down.

Villagers in what is described as one the most scenic regions in Kashmir are demanding the Indian government shuts down a firing range, which has killed and wounded dozens of people.

Residents near the range Tosa Maidan say the government needs to do more to clean up unexploded shells, and the area would be better served as a tourist attraction.
