US college drop-outs hit all-time high

Study shows almost half of all US university students do not graduate, mostly because they can not afford the costs.

Barack Obama wanted the US to have the highest proportion of university graduates in the world by 2020.

But the US president’s target is far from being reached, as a recent Harvard study found that the country has one of the highest college drop-out rates in the world.

Almost half of all students enrolled in a four-year university course do not graduate, mostly because of costs.
