Georgia PM discusses closer EU ties
Irakli Garibashvili talks to Al Jazeera about the significance of pact that will boost Georgia’s ties with EU.

Thousands of people have rallied in the Georgian capital Tbilisi to celebrate the country’s signing of an association agreement and free trade deal with the EU.
The deal allows Georgian businesses to trade with EU nations without restrictions or tariffs, as long as their goods and practices meet EU standards.
Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian prime minister and Giorgi Margvelashvili, the president, addressed the crowd in Tbilisi, and congratulated their countrymen on what they termed “a historic day”.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Garibashvili spoke about the significance of the agreement.
