Centenary of Ferdinand assassination marked

Questions remain about the killing of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, an act that sparked World War One.

It’s a hundred years to the day since Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot dead in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, an act that leaves people debating whether the assassin was a hero or a criminal. 

It was an act of defiance that brought Austria-Hungary into conflict with Serbia, sparking World War One in 1914.
