US city cracks down on human trafficking

Houston begins campaign against crimes which generate $9.5bn a year for criminals in the US alone.

The city of Houston has inacted a number of measures to combat human trafficking. 

Top cities in the US for human trafficking are Houston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, New York and Washington.

Last year, the US department of justice convicted 174 people involved in forced labour or sex trafficking.
