Painter portrays Australian Muslim experience

Abdul Abdullah, whose works are on show in Melbourne, opposes proposed changes to country’s Racial Discrimination Act.

The Australian government is considering scrapping a law which makes it illegal to insult someone publicly because of their ethnicity or race. Among those concerned are Muslims, including one top artist who has used discrimination as the catalyst for his work.
