Low voter turnout expected in Mauritania poll
Observers say current leader Abdel Aziz, an ally of Western powers, is expected to win.

Nearly 1.4 million Mauritanians have voted to choose a new president in which the incumbent, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, is expected to win another term.
But his main challenge is voter turnout. So far; it has been low because of a boycott called by opposition parties and civil society organisations.
