Albania police shut down ‘cannabis village’
Authorities destroy 25 tonnes of marijuana in Lazarat, which was run by cannabis producers for more than 15 years.

Albanian police have shut down a major cannabis production operation in the village of Lazarat, destroying nearly 25 tonnes of marijuana.
The village had prospered under the control of cannabis producers for more than 15 years, but after fierce gun battles with security forces, Lazarat’s drug makers have been forced out.
