Syrian opposition fighters leave Homs

Under ceasefire pact, rebels have been granted exit from the city but some may not have made it out safely.

Under a ceasefire agreement, Syrian opposition fighters have been allowed to leave in exchange for pro-government hostages that have been held for months.

However, there are reports that some of the fighters may not have made it out safely.

For now, the withdrawal of the rebels is seen as a major victory for President Bashar al-Assad’s forces.
