South Africa’s ‘born frees’ demand jobs
Many young people born after apartheid say they are disillusioned with politics and will not vote in Wednesday’s poll.

For young South Africans born after the end of apartheid, a generation known as ‘born frees’, it is economic inequality that divides more than race.
Many are disillusioned with the country’s leaders for failing to improve job prospects, one of the reasons why only a third of South Africans aged between 18 and 19 are registered to vote in Wednesday’s elections.
