Security concerns ahead of Afghan runoff vote
Remaining candidates resume campaigns for next month’s run-off, as Taliban launches new offensive across the country.

The two remaining presidential candidates in Afghanistan are resuming their campaigns for next month’s run-off vote.
Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani failed to secure the 50 percent of the vote required in the first round.
With the Talian having launched its ‘spring offensive’ since the first poll, the electoral commission has expressed concern over security surrounding the polls, scheduled on June 14.
