China aims to achieve education for all

Beijing wants to provide compulsory education for ninety five percent of girls in the country by 2021.

Almost three years ago, the Chinese government pledged to provide compulsory education to ninety five percent of girls in the country by 2021.

Boys have long been favoured traditionally over girls in China and this has kept girls behind in terms of education.

However, the government is confident that perceptions are changing and the country can achieve the goal of education for all.
