More deaths reported as Balkan rivers swell

At least 44 people reported killed across Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia, as thousands are forced to evacuate.

The worst flooding in a century in the Balkans has killed at least 44 people across Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia.

Thousands of people have also been forced to evacuate from their homes.

Three months’ rain has fallen on the region in three days, and the rising flood water is threatening Serbia’s biggest power plant along the banks of Sava River.
