US invites India’s Modi after election win
Move comes nine years after BJP politician’s visa application was rejected over questions surrounding role in riots.

India’s election results are being closely watched by officials in Washington DC. Nine years ago, the US rejected Narendra Modi’s application for a visa. But in a phone call since the BJP’s landslide election in India’s general elections, US President Barack Obama has invited him to visit.
