UK drugmaker in China bribery probe
GlaxoSmithKline’s British and Chinese executives accused of paying off health institutions to use their pricey products.

Police in China have completed an investigation into a suspected bribery case involving the multinational pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and handed it over to prosecutors on Wednesday.
After an almost year-long investigation, police alleged that William Mark Reilly, a British national and executive of GSK China, and two Chinese executives, Zhang Guowei and Zhao Hongyan, bribed Chinese hospitals, doctors and health institutions, to use their products.
The drugmaker GSK China used illegal means to maximise profit, its former employees alleged.
