There is growing anger in Turkey over Tuesday’s mine blast that killed more than 200 miners and injured many others in the western town of Soma.

The deadly incident has put Turkey’s mining safety record under the spotlight.

Questions are being asked about whether the government, which is accused of ignoring warnings of the mining dangers, could have done more to ensure better safety standards.
