Crimean Tatars face pressure from new rulers
Mainly Muslim minority say they have been attacked and fear their political bodies are threatened following referendum.

Leaders of Crimea’s Tartars say their community has faced increased attacks since Russia’s controversial annexation of the region.
Some Tartar politicians have been banned from entering Crimea and authorities are threatening to label their representative council, or mejlis, an ‘extremist organisation’.
Russian leaders in Crimea say they are spending more on Tartars than the Ukrainian government but the community remains sceptical.
