Jordan opens new camp for Syrian refugees

UN estimates there are now 2.7 million people registered in countries adjoining civil war-devastated Syria.

For many Syrian families, leaving their home is the only option to stay safe.

As millions of refugees make the long, treacherous journey across the border, neighbouring countries are struggling to cope with the arrivals.

Jordan opened a second camp for Syrians which can house 130,000 people.

Al Jazeera’s Nisreen El Shamayleh reports.
