The coastline of the US state of Louisiana is vanishing.
More than 4,600 square kilometres of coastal wetlands have disappeared.
New Orleans has nearly lost 3,900 square kilometres of wetlands since the 1930s because of the encroaching salty waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
