Eastern Pacific Gray Whale is back from the brink of extinction thanks to a community programme to protect it.

Once nearly hunted to extinction, the Eastern Pacific Gray Whale is back from the brink due to a programme to protect it involving a local community.
Nearly a thousand calves have been born in the warm waters of San Ignacio Lagoon in Mexico in the few months since the initiative began.
