The Mona Lisa by another name

Researchers may have found the woman behind the famous smile, whose identity has been a mystery for hundreds of years.

Researchers are hoping to confirm the identity of the women whose enigmatic smile captured the imagination of Da Vinci and centuries of art lovers.

The team from Italy will conduct DNA tests on remains found in a tomb last week, and then use the findings to create 3D reconstructions of those buried inside.
