War interpreters waiting on US visas
US set aside more than 8,700 visas for Afghan and Iraqi interpreters but has granted less than 25 percent of them.

Thousands of Afghan and Iraqi interpreters who risked their lives supporting United States forces are still waiting for visas. They were promised residency under an immigration programme approved by Congress.
But less than a quarter of them have been allowed into the US.
