Doubts over gains from Obama’s Asia trip
Deal on troop presence with the Philippines seen as only significant outcome of US president’s tour of four countries.

US President Barack Obama is returning home from a week-long trip to four countries in Asia.
At the start of his term in office Obama said US foreign policy would pivot to Asia, but a trade deal with Japan failed to materialise, leaving the president with only an agreement to increase US military presence in the Philippines.
