Caught in Colombia’s criminal crossfire

Almost 150 people have been killed in three months as groups battle for control of poor neighbourhoods in Buenaventura.

Almost 150 people have died in the last three months in the Colombian city of Buenaventura, during violence between two criminal groups.

They’re known as the Urabenos and the Empresa – and have been battling for control of poor neighbourhoods for years.
