Water shortage leaves Malaysia dry

The Malaysian peninsula has seen its first heavy rains after weeks of clear skies and dry weather.

But that has not helped solve the water crisis in the capital, with levels in the country’s reservoirs critically low.

The situation has led the government to ration supplies to millions of residents in Kuala Lumpur.
