Castaway fisherman survives year adrift
Jose Salvador Alvarenga says he survived 13 months adrift in the Pacific Ocean by eating fish and turtles.

A castaway who claims to have spent more than a year adrift in the Pacific says dreams of eating his favourite food, tortillas, kept him alive.
Fisherman Jose Salvador Alvarenga is thought to have drifted some 12,500 kilometres from Mexico to the Marshall Islands.
