Syrian refugees desperate for an education

Charities are making a difference in Lebanon for thousands of children who have gone years without schooling due to war.

Many Syrian refugee children in Lebanon have not been in a classroom for two years,

But the refugee community in Arsal is trying to make a difference.

Thanks to funds from a Kuwaiti charity, a small school has opened, teaching the Syrian curriculum and running two shifts a day to accommodate the numbers desperate for an education.

Al Jazeera’s Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports from the town of Arsal.
