India’s 29th state: an end to discrimination?
Residents of Telangana say they will finally get a fair deal and see an end to discrimination.

A day after India’s parliament passed a bill carving out its newest state, reactions ranged from jubilation to concern.
Hyderabad, which lies in the newly formed Telangana region, is home to people from Telangana and Seemandhra.
For decades people from Telangana have accused those from Seemandhra of discrimination.
Al Jazeera’s Faiz Jamil reports from Hyderabad.
