Nigeria to use biometrics to combat fraud
Not everyone in the West African country is convinced that the new technology can tackle the industry’s problems.

Nigeria has introduced a new system to get over banking and the Internet fraud.
Now banks in the country use biometrics in an effort to combat money laundering and identity theft. Over the next few months, bank customers will queue up to have their faces and fingerprints scanned to further secure transactions.
However, not everyone is convinced that the technology can solve the industry’s problems.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from the capital Abuja.
