Millions of cattle at risk in Bolivia floods

Drowning of livestock in meat-producing northeast could lead to long-lasting problems with food supplies.

Torrential rain is continuing to cause floods across Bolivia.

Eighty percent of the northeastern state of Beni, an area five times the size of Switzerland, has been flooded. Ranchers say nearly four million cattle are in danger of dying and farmers face financial ruin.
