Independent film directors are increasingly turning to crowd-funding to help finance their work.
Iron Sky, a hit film at last year’s Berlinale, managed to raise around $2m through donations and became the first large production to use the crowd-funding technique.
Crowd-funded films take audience participation to a new level.
But fans might not always get what they pay for.
