Swiss-European Union relationship in danger
The passing of a referendum on immigration quotas has led the 28-member bloc to reexamine the relationship.

The approval of a referendum to place new quotas on immigration has thrown Switzerland’s special relationship with the European Union into doubt.
The bloc’s relationship with Switzerland is under review after voters narrowly backed a limit on migrants from Europe.
The Irish foreign minister said the vote was “very disturbing” and could cause “major difficulties for the movement of people in Europe”.
