In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Catherine Samba-Panza, president of the Central African Republic, says issues like poverty and failed governance are the real reasons for the conflict between Muslims and Christians.

During a visit to Brazzaville for a meeting with the president of Congo, she told Al Jazeera’s Mike Hanna the rise of religious division is a consequence of political manipulation.
