Deadly car bomb hits Somali capital
Police say blast went off outside a Mogadishu hotel where senior police officials were holding a meeting.

A car bomb has exploded outside a Mogadishu hotel where senior police officers were holding a meeting, according to a police officer.
Captain Mohamed Hussein told the Associated Press news agency that at least four people were wounded in the remotely-triggered blast on Monday.
Hussein said that Mogadishu’s police chief was among the senior officers meeting inside the hotel.
Another police officer, Mohamed Abdi, said the hotel blast came a few hours after one person was wounded by a bomb concealed in his car and detonated by remote control.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The armed group al-Shabab has previously carried out similar attacks in the Somali capital.
