Activists evicted from West Bank village

Demonstrators occupying the deserted Ein Hijleh village in a non-violent protest were removed by Israeli soldiers.

Israeli soldiers have evicted activists from a deserted village in the West Bank that they were building new structures in.

Ein Hejleh is an important piece of land in the Jordan valley, where some Palestinians are building new villages on land they say belongs to them. But the Israeli army disagrees.

Al Jazeera’s Nick Schifrin reports from the occupied West Bank.
