Violent crime takes centre stage as Salvadorians vote for a new president on Sunday.

Voters will go to the polls in El Salvador on Sunday to elect a new president.
The race is between the ruling socialist party and its conservative rivals.
The deciding factor for securing a vote will be how the candidates tackle the country’s violent gangs.
El Salvador is a deeply divided nation where middle class Salvadorians live behind gated communities but all are united in their fear of violence.
