Iraq’s displaced Yazidis face harsh winter
Fears of humanitarian crisis as Yazidis remain stranded on Mount Sinjar as cold winter approaches.

Thousands of Yazidis in northern Iraq are in urgent need of humanitarian aid. Food and fuel supplies are dwindling as many remain trapped on Mount Sinjar after fleeing from ISIL fighters.
Iraqi army helicopters have been dropping aid to the beleaguered community, but as winter approaches, the flights will be completely stopped.
