India airlifts drinking water to Maldives
India and Sri Lanka send supplies to Male after fire at desalination plant causes severe shortage, stirring unrest.

India has flown emergency water supplies to the Maldives after a fire damaged a water desalination plant in the capital.
Angry residents fought with each other and attacked shops that rationed mineral water in Male, as India sent 200 tonnes of drinking water while Sri Lanka also reported to have airlifted 100,000 bottles of water.
