China ‘must end’ stigma of inmates’ children

Charity group caring for many children left behind by imprisoned parents calls for more action against discrimination.

An organisation looking after children of some of China’s convicted prisoners has called for more to be done to end discrimination against them.

China’s prison population is the second biggest in the world after the United States and thousands of their children who have been left behind are being cared for by charities, providing not just a home, but to help counter prejudice against them.

Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from Beijing.
