Syria regime ‘using starvation as war tactic’

Human Rights Watch says civilians are paying the price for government’s siege of rebel-held Homs neighbourhood.

Human Rights Watch says the Syrian government is using starvation as a war tactic, and that many civilians are paying the price.

The group says the besieged al-Waer, the last rebel-held area in Homs, has become a prison for the estimated 100,000 people currently living there.

Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from neighbouring Lebanon.
