Authorities in Bangladesh are facing mounting criticism over the handling of an oil spill that has devastated the world’s largest mangrove forest.

Government agencies have been accused of responding slowly to the spill that has blackened the shoreline, and threatened trees, plankton, vast populations of small fishes and dolphins.
