Kurds battle ISIL to secure Iraq’s Sinjar
Peshmerga say fight for Sinjar mountain is still far from over after breaking siege of the Sunni armed group.

Kurdish Peshmerga fighters in northern Iraq are trying to secure their hold on Sinjar mountain, which they have managed to take from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Further south, the Iraqi military is battling ISIL fighters in Ramadi, the capital of Iraq’s biggest province, Anbar.
