Mexico deploys federal police to curb unrest

President moves to restore order and security in areas of country suffering from rampant violence.

The Mexican government has deployed federal police in areas of the country overrun by violence.

The largest contingent was sent to the state of Guerrero, where public protests have raged over the kidnappings of 43 students.

President Enrique Pena Nieto is hoping to restore security and order through the boosted police presence.
