Rising crime rates worry Uruguay voters

Citizens of one of Latin America’s safest countries unimpressed by statistics as they prepare to elect new president.

Uruguay goes to the polls on Sunday to elect a new president. Opinion polls show that people are worried about the rising crime rates, although statistics suggest that it is one of the safest countries in Latin America.
